What we hold, and why
Privacy Policy
Effective July 2, 2026
We collect the minimum we need to vet members and run the exchange. We have nothing we can sell and collect nothing we don't use. Here's the whole picture.
01What we collect
- Account details: the email you sign up with and your name.
- Domains: the domain names you submit for vetting.
- DNS verification results: the outcome of the TXT-record check that proves you control a domain.
- Trust and vetting metrics: automated measurements (age, authority, spam score, referring domains, liveness) pulled from public and third-party sources about your domain.
- Messages: the content you send to other members within the platform.
02Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card numbers. Stripe handles card data directly under its own security and privacy terms. We keep only the record that a payment happened (status, amount, timestamp) so we can run your membership and support you.
03Tax forms
We collect a W-9 only from affiliates who want a cash payout, and only when required. Tax forms are stored encrypted, with access restricted to the owner, and are never written to application logs. We use them solely to meet tax-reporting obligations.
04Analytics and email
- Analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and doesn't track you across other sites. It tells us aggregate things like which pages get visited, not who you are.
- Transactional email: we send account and application emails (verification, status updates, receipts) through our email provider. These are service messages, not marketing.
05How we use it, and what we never do
We use your data to vet applications, run the exchange, publish your trust metrics to other approved members, process payments, send service email, and keep the platform secure.
We do not sell your personal data. We don't rent it or trade it. We share it only with the processors that make the platform work (such as Stripe for payments and our hosting and email providers), and only as needed to run the service or to comply with the law.
06Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your account and personal data at any time. Email support@backlinkhell.com. We'll remove what we're not legally required to keep (for example, we may retain limited payment and tax records to meet our obligations).
07Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data, and we honor them wherever you are:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct data that's wrong or out of date.
- Delete your data, subject to legal retention limits.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and port your data.
- Opt out of any sale of personal data, which is easy because we don't sell it.
To exercise any of these, email us. We won't discriminate against you for it.
